Putting music on device

How are you guys putting your music on your phones? In the past I've just used Google music and made it available offline. Is there a quicker way? Drag and drop? Don't want to mess anything up by doing it wrong.

I just plug my phone into my computer and just drag and drop music into the music folder. I have a 64 gig card and I sometimes remove the card and plug it into my computer directly.
