There's a new report out claiming that Qualcomm already has a large number of OEMs lining up to use their new Snapdragon 820 chipset in upcoming devices. Supposedly there are already 30 devices across the globe in the works which will feature the 820 SoC.
We are still 4-5 months away from seeing the first of these devices. If this report is true, it likely means there will be wide range of OEMs adopting the new chipset, from the smaller branded companies to big tech giants. Speaking of tech giants, supposedly Samsung is partnering up again with Qualcomm on this chip. In fact, the rumors suggest that Samsung is actually helping Qualcomm develop it.
If true, it sounds like balance is returning to "The Force" in the mobile tech world.
