Question about custom ROMs

Hey guys, so I have been running shadowROM FINAL for about a week, but my battery performance is even worse than stock.. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good ROM/Kernel combo for better battery life, while not sacrificing too much performance? Preferable one with themes or customization
