Question about differnet backups

When I install something via ROM manager and choose to backup is this a Nandroid? To be sure since I want to use the BlackIce theme I just booted into recovery and choose Nandroid backup but it shows ClockworkMod Recovery v1.8.0.8 and is backing up. Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

Rom Manager is awesome BTW!
