Question about standard dock

Hello,

I got the standard dock for Christmas (love it BTW), but I have a question. Will the phone be ok if you just leave it in the dock? The way I plan on using it is just leaving it in the dock while I'm in my room, and then undock it when I leave.

I notice the screen stays on, and it will be constantly plugged in. Will that be okay for the battery and what not? Or should I only leave it plugged in when I go to sleep?

Won't hurt a thing. The background light dims itself and the battery doesn't mind at all be topped off and kept charged.
