Question: ReNaming Pictures?

i'm sure there's a simple solution to this but i can't figure it out

how do i re-name pictures? you know when you take pictures it names itself by the date/time. and how do you move pictures from your "download" folder to your "camera" folder.

I always do stuff like this in Astro (you can get it free in the market). Moving and renaming are both features under the "edit" tab. I'm not sure you can do it without an app's help.
