ok i am currently running tbolt. so i am used to an SD card . i flash roms a lot. when i flash roms with the nexus do i loose my pics and any music that i have on it? or is the internal memory partioned so to speak?..thanks for any help

It is partitioned, so flashing ROMs leaves your virtual sdcard alone.
There is an exception to this, unlocking (and locking too I would assume) the bootloader does a complete wipe, including the sdcard partition. So prior to unlocking your bootloader, get everything off the phone you want. It isn't really a bad idea to make this one of the first things you do once you get your phone, that way you don't lose much.

Is the memory partitioned (like Razr), so that so much is reserved for the OS, so much is reserved for Apps, the rest storage? Or is it all together without limits on each category?
