The year is already off to a good start with solid Android smartphone releases. Of course, we still have more than half of 2014 to go, and there are several high profile Android smartphones which have not released just yet. We thought it would be handy to share a quick and easy breakdown of the ones we know are coming at some point this year.

Some of these have already been announced but not yet released, while a few others haven't even been formally unveiled, but we know they are probably coming anyway. Enjoy!

  1. Huawei Ascend P7
  2. OnePlus One
  3. Motorola Moto X+1
  4. Samsung Galaxy Note 4
  5. LG G3
  6. HTC One (M8) Prime
  7. Nexus 6 (or Nexus 5 2014 Edition)
  8. Amazon smartphone
Sound off and let us know which of these devices you are most excited about; alternatively, maybe there's another device you are anxiously awaiting that we didn't include on this list. What do you think 2014 holds for Android smartphones?

Huawei Ascend P7 is interesting and a good size for me. I hope Verizon gets it and it's hackable.
OnePlus One, too big for me and my wife likes her Note 3.
Motorola Moto X+1, yeah I want to see this one.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4, not looking to more of the same.
LG G3, too big for me and my likes the Note 3.
HTC One (M8) Prime, the M8 is just fine I don't want a bigger one.
Nexus 6 (or Nexus 5 2014 Edition) No Verizon.
Amazon smartphone, after owning Kindle Fires, not wanting more neutered android.

We'll be needing two new devices this year in my house. Definitely interested in the Moto X+1 but your later story on the Xperia ZL2 makes it a desirable candidate, if it ever is available here.

Two new phones here too. One will be an iPhone 6 as my wife loves her iPhones.. and that's ok..she's happy

As for me, I will need to do the touchy feely thing this year, Need to compare the G3, M8 and S5.

Will be interested in the G3 for sure and although it is not listed, this fall should bring the Note 4 - intrigued to see what WOW Factor Samsung can produce for it that won't already be out there by then...

Samsung has done it to me. I was once a phone whore, but since using their products I don't even think of buying anything else. I have a Note 3 phone, I use a Note 10.1 2014 as my primary work tool and I just grabbed a Galaxy Tab 3 7" LTE version for something to keep in my truck full time. I'm not some super tech savvy person, but for what I do and how I estimate our projects the Note series has become everything I've ever imagined I would need. I'm partners in a basement waterproofing company and I can write up an estimate and do a drawing of what system I think we should use and BAM! It's amazing how impressed customers get. Often I will save the drawing with their whole file.

You know, it's kind of sad. I miss rooting and swapping ROMS.

I will be staying with the Note series and move up to the Note 4 upon release.

But the OnePlus One certainly looks like a game changer.

This is the direction I'm leaning towards....

Just get something strictly for hacking.
