quick question about charging....

Forgive my lack of knowledge as I'm new to smartphones as a whole.
If this scenario is normal, no worries, I will go on my way.
Here's what happens....

I shut my droid completely......I plug the charger in......
it turns back on.......I shut it off again with the charger still
plugged in......it just turns back on.

Is this normal?

Is it possible to shut the phone completely while charging?

Thanx ahead of time....dancedroid

I change mine in a docking station and can "turn it off" afterwards. That is, I can blank the display after docking the Droid.

How exactly are you charging your Droid?

Yes; the Droid was designed to stay powered up while charging as you're expected to use the docking station. It should have something where if you use just the USB cable and AC power it'll stay off, but if in the dock it stays on, but it doesn't.

aaf709 is right. The Droid will not turn off when charging. You can kill the display screen, but you can't turn it all the way off. :D

Well at least on my Milestone I turn it off and stays off even though it's plugged in but it shows the battery charging or not... I can post a pic if you like :)
