raise vibration level?

Is there a way to raise the vibrate? With chomp sms I get a solid vibrate but while I use google voice its really dinky and i can barley feel it. Is there a way to raise it so when I get a text in google voice the vibrate is stronger?

Is it actually stronger or just longer? I've never seen any vibration strength settings.
