Random freezing, black screen when ending call

I love my Incredible but it has two intermittent problems...

A few times a month, out of the blue, everything freezes, nothing works, can't even power off. I have to remove the battery.

Also randomly, when I try to end a call, the screen goes black (sleep?). When I try to make it active, it toggles back and forth and I can't bring it back long enough to end the call. Frustrating?

Anyone else experience things like this?

Have you tried pulling the battery for a minute?

Pulling the battery is the only thing that takes care of the freezing issue. But it doesn't stop it from happening again.

I guess you could call VZW support. Is it still under warranty?

First off, couple things.....

Is your phone rooted? If so what rom and what version of CW?
Also how full is your memory and storage, and whens the last time u updated your phone?
I had the same thing happen to me twice once unrooted n once rooted. The first time I haddnt updated my phones firmware. When I did that everything was fine. The second time, rooted the rom I was using wasn't compatible with the kernal I was trying to run with it.
