Random Function Activity While AC Charging

Major problem while AC charging :
My Droids goes 'crazy' when charging as it starts the Google Maps and quickly goes to various map locations; then jumps to Phone and then CALLS MY VERIZON VOICE MAIL; then starts writing an email: "INVISIBLEIOUK" and on and on all while my not doing a thing !!!
This is true; I am not kidding. All applications were OFF and I using a OEM wall charger.
I reported problem to Verizon but no prior history was found with similar symptoms. It does not appear to occur if I turn off display but I am not sure about that.
Anybody know how to suppress this unwanted activity ? Thanks.

Are you using the Droid battery charger?

I had this problem when I used a charger that was "supposed to" work with the Droid. Obviously I took it back for a refund...
