Random functionality being triggered

My Facinate has been behaving very strange. One example is, while using GPS in the car, the menu will randomly be displayed. Even while doing other things with the phone it will vibrate like I just pressed a button while just reading a web page or something in an app. Some times this will trigger functionality (like displaying history in the web browser), but not always.

Any idea what's going on? Is more information needed?
