After the video was released both Baltimore and the NFL reacted swiftly. I feel like the NFL should have done this from the beginning but it is obvious that once the video was released the NFL had to act in response to the public outrage.

My issue is this: either the NFL saw the video before and was OK with 2 games or TMZ, which is not bigger than the NFL, found away to get hold of the video and the NFL didn't. Either way it shows negligence on the part of the NFL. To me this feel more like a reaction to the public outage vs the act. Ray Rice incident happened in February and I suppose to believe that almost 7 months went by without the NFL seeing this video. Yeah, OK sounds like the Ravens and the NFL are doing some serious backpedaling.

The NFL isn't the justice system, but they already made their judgment after Ray Rice admitted to it, in a two game suspension. Then, after the video surfaces, they suspend him. The NFLPA will win this one, mark it.

Nothing has surfaced that the NFL didn't already know. . .

NFL released a statement today saying they never saw the video. It was evidence in the trial but they were not granted access to it. Not defending them, because they are idiots.

Right! However, Ray Rice told them, admitted to them, what happened. They made their decision, then changed it after viewing a video of exactly what Rice had already told them.

The NFL didn't suspend him because they saw the video (I believe they saw it before), they suspended him because the public saw the video.
