Razr Compass

Has anyone heard anything about a solution for the problem using the Compass. I have tested this with a number of different apps and the compass (guess it is the gravatomer?) does not work on mine. Just wanted to be sure it is not just my phone.

I ended up taking my Razr back to Costco and exchanging it for a new one. I was having problems with Google Maps, Sky, and pretty much any compass app I tried. The new one has none of of those issues.
I started a thread in the Moto support forum a while back looking for answers and there have been some interesting replies. Most point the finger to a Gingerbread issue and that Moto has contacted Google regarding a fix.

"Seems that this issue was introduced in Gingerbread and is a know issue. Some of the manufacturers have fixed the issue in their versions of Gingerbread. Hopefully Motorola will address this in a future release to ensure that the compass works for all apps."
