razr hd maxx hotspot only on 5Ghz

I have a Moto Droid Razr Maxx HD (hate how long that phone name is) and for some reason when I turn on the hotspot and try to connect with other devices, the SSID is only broadcasting on the 5GHz band. Nothing shows up in 2.4GHz land. I've searched the nets, RTFM'd, and can't find anything on this.

Any ideas? Thanks...

Ever find a solution?

Mine just started doing this after I used USB tether for the first time. Now hot spot will only work USB or 5.0. Can't see with any 2.4 devices.
