Razr Maxx Display

Hello...I am a new owner of a Razr Maxx and was excited to have a phone with such a great battery run-time. However, after reading many posts from other users of this phone I am starting to have second thoughts. It seems like many users are having issues where the lcd/amoled screen is cracking behind the gorilla glass, without being dropped. I came to this phone from an OG Droid that has been dropped several times on concrete and never suffered any damage. Wondering if maybe i should trade this in on the thicker droid 4.

First off, welcome.

It's not that fragile. I keep mine in a VZW shell, and have dropped it onto concrete a few times. It hasn't broken yet.

Welcome to the forum!! Its ultimately up to you as far as trading off the phone. I have 2 RAZR maxx's, and I don't have any screen issues.

Every device, even though its made the same way, is slightly different.. I would put it in a case.. but that's me. I put all my devices in cases

Below are the posts I was reading, but again the dates on some of these are from 2011, well before the maxx was released, which is I wonder if the screen issues are related more to the thinner original Razr.

I did end up buying the Cruzer lite case, should get it tomorrow; I really like the phone so will probably just hope for the best and consider the insurance from VZW.

I really like the cruiser lite case...fits great and makes this extra wide slippery phone much easier to hold on to.
