Hello everyone, Happy cranberry!

I recently received a RAZR Mass HD which updated to JB soon thereafter, no problems. I was
getting around 31 hours of battery life for a few days...then...BOOM...a small update
and my battery lasts much less than one day.

Otherwise, I like the phone...came from HTC REZOUND...Samsung Charge...Bionic...Thunderbolt..
Samsung Fascinate...HTC Incredible.

ALL HAD ISSUES. The REZOUND (3) was destroyed with the ICS update.

GOOGLE...GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Thanks!
Verizon is sending another phone. Has anyone else had this issue?

Called Verizon, Level 2 techie, and was told certain serial numbered phones were effected..
All the others were.OK. Seems like I got the bad one. At.least I know the cause of the battery
issue.
Be.well,
JW

I'm having the same problem. My RAZR MAXX HD used to go an entire day of web surfing and email and be left with 90-95% battery. Now it drains while sitting off (sleep) in my pocket at 3-5% per HOUR!

I even shut off radios, google plus and made sure nothing was running in the recent apps list etc. OS Monitor from Play Store does not show any CPU hogs that I can see.

Verizon level 2 tech said he had not heard of this and his own personal RAZR MAXX HD was working fine after the update. He is sending a replacement - great, a refurb after paying $300 the day this thing came out.

battery issues after minor update

This proves the HUGE discrepancy in abilities of Verizon's Level 2 techies.
The one I spoke with found this issue reported numerous times and said they were
working on a fix. ONLY certain serial numbered phones were effected...like certain car or
other product recalls.

I just received my replacement today...charging it up now.

Will update later. ALWAYS push Verizon...they WILL work with you.
This is my THIRD phone...first did not.recognize the SIM card!

BTW.... UPDATE INFO:
First update: 9.1.41.en.us

Second update: 0.7.2.en.us

5-6½ hours of screen on time sound about normal to me. I went 32 hours with around 5½ of screen on time before it hit 15%

6+ hours depending on what you're doing is normal.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

I'm still on 9.1.41 by the way. 5-6½ hours of screen on time is normal to me. It could be a 14-16 hour thing or the 32 hours I reported but it's usually about the same screen on time.

Today.... now at 14% battery... 21 hours total (obviously included 9 hours sleep time)
Screen used 69%
Screen... now at 7 hours

Thought I would get much more battery life... did not use YouTube or Tune In
Radio, no videos, etc. Just email and websites.

Why would I go from 32 hours total, before the small update, after JB,
to 21 hours doing the same type of work/usage?

Not impressed with the battery life... my extended battery for the Rezound
(before the fatal ICS upgrade) gave better life.

MOTOROLA/GARGLE (Google choking) THIS IS EXACTY WHY SOME PREFER,
GASP, I-Phones... TOO DAMN MANY ISSUES WITH A DROIDS... always something!

My buddy has an I-phone 5...smooth, very fast, easy to use. WHAT IS THE
PROBLE? MANY REPORT THAT JB HAS DESTROYED THEIR MAXX HD...!
VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Could be that your phone isn't going into a deep sleep state. Have you tried Better Battery? It gives you a more detailed breakdown of what is using your battery and keeping you phone awake.

small update. 0.7.2en.us

Please read the post above on this thread. This was a small security patch plus,
pushed to phone post JB.
