RAZR Maxx Notification Light

I have discovered a strange issue with the Droid Razr Maxx and it's LED notification light on the front of the phone. I have noticed it never flashes for any type of notifications, texts, emails, etc.
I have downloaded Light Flow and done the "Test LED" and also the LED Tester app and can't get it to light up. I called Verizon and got a CLN replacement and it has arrived today and it too doesn't light up. Is this a new bug with ICS? I know it used to light up when the phone was running Gingerbread. Anyone else notice their LED notification not working? Did I miss a setting which turns it on/off? I haven't found one in the menus.

So far, I've checked with 2 other friends with a razr and their notification light works. I spent 45 minutes on with VZ tech support, they called motorola and they find not record of any issues like this, so they're sending me another replacement. Maybe the 3rd one will be good to go. Just very strange that the light doesn't work at all.
