Rebooting

Had the rebooting issue today. Over and over while on the Interstate(passenger). Took the SD card out but had to wait about 10 mins to re-assemble the phone. I did and the reboot went away....for awhile. Hmm. Pulled Batt-replaced-same issue. Remembered it was off for awhile after SD pulled. So I pulled the batt again and placed it on one A/C vent and the phone on another for 5 mins. Re-assemble the phone again. Problem went away.

Continued to use but directed A/C air on it.

I have noticed my reboot decrease in front of my ac vent also. Do you have a case on yours? I have mine in a otterbox defender and have wondered if it is keeping it too hot.

I have a 2700mah Batt with only a case. I had been using it at the time as a GPS and Kindle. So it was in constant use for over an 1.5 hours. Tomorrow vent holes will appear in the plastic case. No issues since then so I feel this was a Temperature problem.

My Rebooting problem is when I am using two things at once. Always with the navigation, but I may be on a phone call, listening to a podcast, or streaming radio. Monday is happened when I was listening to a podcast and downloading new ones at the same time. I have called Verizon and they act like this is never a problem. I'd love to use navigation more often, but it keeps shutting my phone down.

Update:

It got worse. Had to send it back today. Store says a replace Dinc on the way and not another model.

Mine had the issues on the car charger(any one) Then it lost apps.

Mine was replaced also. The tech advisor at verizon said my phone was "scrolling", that was causing the rebooting. Also, i got rid of my otterbox and have not had any issues since.

My Rep had no clue. He said this was the first he ever heard of it. :icon_eek: ( I say bull)

Replacement has been working great. My only issue now is I held a Charge in my hand while waiting. I like!

Droid X spontaneously rebooting and freezing

I was having this issue daily (sometimes multiple times a day). I went to the Market settings, told it to not look for updates to my apps and the problem seems to have gone away. It has been several weeks now without this issue. It also seems to have helped the battery life.
