Reception in RC3

Does anyone else notice that the reception seems to be far worse in RC3 than it does with any other ROM? Or is it just me. Maybe I need to upgrade the radio again, but I'm just not sure. But I went from 4 bars to 2 when I switched to RC3

Any suggestions?

Also wondering about the LauncerPro, I saw ADW as a choice, but I'm so used to my 15 shortcuts it's hard to break away from.
