Redoing my Droid Pro from the ground up - need advice

Hello there! I recently had a hardware issue with my Droid Pro, and Verizon is sending me a brand-new one by Monday. Rather than lament over all my lost apps (especially my beloved Koine Greek flashcards program! ) I am seeing this as a golden opportunity to start completely over, and rebuild my phone from the ground up.

To that end, I am looking for any advice on applications, etc, that will make my Droid Pro all that it can be! I've already found quite a few good ones (LOVING Swift Key!) and I'm planning to put a few of my old good ones back on - Winamp, Greek Flashcards, and a few others.

So, lay it on me!

Not going to root, though. Nothing against it, just not something I want to do right now.

Many thanks!

Like you, I have nothing against rooting, just not something I'm interested in. For me, the only thing that has been important is to make sure I don't have multiple icons for the apps. I got rid of everything in the "work" and "weekend" profiles (I do mean everything, they are empty) and I just use the everyday profile. That seems to help my battery life more than anything else I've found. Good luck with the new phone.

When you get your new phone and log back into google, most of your apps will resync back onto your phone. You may have to re-download the rest. You can swap the old sd card to the new phone and keep some of the old info including pictures. Some apps may find the old data on the sd card.
