Well, I did a search and couldn't find anything. For anyone looking for secure communication between Android devices here's a company for you:

http://www.whispersys.com/

They offer 2 apps, both available in the Market. RedPhone and TextSecure. RedPhone provides secure end-to-end encrypted phone calls between you and any other Android phone running RedPhone. TextSecure does the same for SMS messages. I've installed both apps and they seem pretty nice so far.

Glad to see more security oriented apps around lately. :)

Tried RedPhone when you posted this and again after an update and both times the app doesnt really work. Prior to the update both me and someoen else tried to call each other and it would just say "missed call". Now since the update, it calls and the other person can answer, but we hear nothing onn each end.

Anyone have any success with RedPhone?

I'm using the SMS function and I love it so far. I installed it immediately when I got my D1 so I have no other frame of reference. I hope they tweak the notifications so that it gives a pop up, and an audible reminder. I don't know if the notifications are supposed to work in the dock or not since I'm new to the Droid.

RedPhone offers end-to-end encryption of calls, the security of their talks so that no one can convey is easy to use and works like the normal marker, are used. TextSecure is an alternative to applying standard text messaging, which lets you send and receive text messages as usual.

Cheryl..... huh? I think we know that. I comment that I liked it and had hopes for improvements.

I downloaded Redphone today with a friend. My SMS registration process was a breeze, but when I try to call other "Redphones" their phones ring, but but they can't answer. When people call me, Something similar happens, it rings for a second, then automatically hangs up. I really want this app to work, but I am pulling my hair out trying to make it work out.

I have a Galaxy Y and my service provider is Straight Talk BYOP.

I'm on Verizon unlimited data but limited out of network voice. I'm trying to use it to talk to an at & t person. I can't get either the phone nor sms verification to work. It did work on my droid x2 tho.
