Any suggestions for a Remote Desktop app? I have tried Remote RDP Lite before.

Highly recommend Teamviewer. It's free for personal use and I have never had any issues with it.

I've had good success with both Team Viewer and Splashtop but prefer Splashtop for its simplicity to set up. Nothing against TV at all though, especially for free
