Remove Time from Status Bar

Is there any way to remove the default time up on the status bar? I downloaded an app that more prominently displays the time and it's a little irksome and redundant to have the time displayed twice.

no i dont think there is a way to remove the time without rooting and theming or just plainly messing with the system files. I understand you too but its really small and i barely notice it.
