after a successful rooted phone , should I start removing my bloatware/ Verizon apps with superuser? or should I just do uninstalls? I am using my HTC Thunderbolt as a WiFi only internet appliance.

I use Titanium Backup to freeze all unwanted apps on my rooted Tbolt. If you run into an issue, you can thaw it out as opposed to trying to reinstall a removed app.
