Using adb or root explorer, go to the /system/app folder and rename or move the apps you don't want installed.

can some one post step by step instructions how to rename bloatware and store in a sd folder. you see im an idiot and need baby steps

just use root explorer to go into system/app/ and change the .apk to .bak of the app you wanna remove then you can move that to teh sdcard (id make a seperate folder to keep track)

when in root manager, when i press on the file it asks me if i want to install. how do i edit the file name?

Long press it and you get a detailed options menu

Can you use astro to rename these files also?
