I think a lot of people still don't realize that a lot of "custom Roms" are just themed roms while Cyanogen gets the source as it's released and compiles his own roms. And of course since 2.2 source hasn't been released he can't build a rom based off source.
I want some FroyanogenMod as much as the next guy but Cyanogen doesn't take leaks or other ROMs and throw things on top of it. Once source is released, amazing things will happen. Can't wait.
But in the meantime, there is no reason to ask about it.
Something that will also be helpful: a 2.2 build, as it is a completely new codebase, will mean that the major version number of CyanogenMod will bump to 6. So if there is another interim release, say 5.0.9, don't bother asking if it's Froyo. It's not. When you start seeing 6.0.x for Droid you can start getting excited.
Which god awful show are you referring to? I chose that name because I believe the more you learn, the more there is to learn. The 1337speek is just because of my gamer background, lol.
So, just to clarify, we're going to have a FroYo version of CyanogenMod... When, exactly?
*ducks*
On a serious note... This is exactly why I like CyanogenMod, when a version gets released, it's because it's based off of stable, released code and tested thoroughly!
Speaking of which, if ya'll want someone to help with alpha tests, let me know
