Replacing The Boot Animation On The Galaxy S5

Now that we have root we can modify the Galaxy S5. It is pretty simple to change the bootanimation. This is a customization that only you will ever enjoy and one that you will only enjoy once or twice a week. If you are a tinkerer this is probably one of the things you like to change when you are customizing your device. The Android L boot animation has been made available for the Galaxy S5 along with a few others which have been converted to fit the screen of the Galaxy S5. The link below contains an entire library of hundreds of custom boot animations.

To install these on the Galaxy S5 you will want to head to the library, grab a boot ani that you like, extract it from the zip, and then use one of two methods.

Method 1:
-Download Boot Animation Zip (don't extract)
-Flash in SafeStrap
-Reboot

Method 2:
-Download Boot Animation Zip (do extract)
-place files in internal storage or Sdcrad
-use a root file explorer and navigate to /system/media
-rename current files (place .bak at the end) for safe keeping incase they need to be restored
-Place files into /system/media
-Change permissions to rw-r-r in each of the files
-Reboot and enjoy
