Reply to email and sents old mail

I have had this happen twice in 2 days. I get an email and type a response, only to find out they get an 3 month old email that was sent to me (like I forwarded it to them). Also the email they get is no longer on my phone so not sure where it is pulling it from. Also was from separate email accts, which leads me to believe it is my phone I am in sales and can not afford to send replies to customers if it could possibly show other customer emails or quotes that show our cost. Please let me know if anyone has had this issue. Ryan

That is very strange. If I cannot help hopefully someone else can, but we need more information about your phone. What model? Are you rooted, and if so what ROM and such? GMail or Email app?

same issues

Sending a reply or an email, and what I write isn't there , it sends an ancient email from the second account I use on my droid. Both pop3 comcast.net emails.
This would possiby get really ugly if the wrong note went to someone by mistake.

This was happening on the receiving end for a few weeks but now it is doing the replacement feature and I never know it happens until I get a confused reply. At least when it was incoming I knew I could see it when I got home.

Here's the official response from Google:

Issue 6616 - android - Issue with Email Application sending incorrect emails. - Project Hosting on Google Code

I'll summarize: It's a defect.

Here's the solution: Use K9 or any other email client. Nobody should be using the stock client. There are other bugs that are showstoppers including the fact that the stock app sends email encoded in base64 that shows up as gibberish in some clients and the fact that it randomly stops polling. This is REAL BAD of google and the only explanation that makes any sense is that they want to push you into using gmail.

Email body doesn't match subject.

I too am experiencing mismatch of headers and emails. I am using the stock email app and recently brought my Droid up to Android 2.2. Please note same thing occurred in Android 2.1 - Are the 3rd party apps stable?

I've used K-9 and MailDroid. I used/use K-9 a lot longer and I've had no issues with it. I did test drive MailDroid and it appeared to be a solid app too.

Good luck.
