Restarts itself

Downloaded Gingerbread to my Droid 2 G a few days ago. Since then,when I shut it down at night, after 2-3 minutes, it restarts itself. I have taken the battery out to make certain there was absolutely no current flow. It did it again. Usually the second shutdown does the trick,but not always. Anyone else have a similar problem? Any ideas about a fix?

Mine repeatrly does that through out the day. It will freeze up, and restart on its own. I having a feeling tho it might be the ROM (Liberty) thats at fault.

Since receiving the software upgrade to the phone, mine also restarts after shutting down and have had to pull the battery. Who does the software upgrade?
