Returning rooted droid, unroot?

I'm getting a replacement droid and returning my rooted droid due to getting lint/dirt in the screen. my question is do i need to go through the steps of unrooting the phone? has any ever shipped back a rooted phone as is and did you receive any grief?

Flash it back to factory fresh. It only takes a few min. You never know.

if it's a warranty replacement, and they see it's rooted, they may not honor the replacement since rooting voids your warranty.
