Reverting to Android 2.1 or 2.0.1

Alright so yesterday I manually updated my Droid to Android 2.2 FRG01B. And for my own reasons have been wondering if there is a way to take an earlier official update like the official 2.1 file and reinstall it. I was wondering if this would work like installing a later version but backward compatible so instead of it being the newest file its an older one. Does anyone know if this is possible? and if not could you explain why? sorry I love information.

Yes it is possible, You need to Downlaod RSD and flash the sbf file.
