ok, so i make a call, now i have to remove the phone from my ear to get to the keypad, the screen either wont light up or when it does, it only stays lit for about a second or so. WTF?????

Is this part of the ICS?? Is there a way to fix it? Its aggravating as HELL!!

Try wiping off the light sensor at the top of the phone maybe its just not picking up a lot

LoL trust me, thats NOT the problem. That was the FIRST thing i did.

This is not an ICS thing... Dust has a tendency to occasionally get under the glass from the earpiece area and can block the proximity sensor on this device, causing this situation, sometimes you can use compressed air it helps (don't use an automotive air hose, the pressure can ruin your earpiece) or sometimes the proximity sensor fails and the device needs to be replaced. So try to blow the dust out, if that doesn't help backup and preform a factory reset, and if the trouble continues then get the device replaced.
