RILD question

Hello, I have an app(?) called RILD using a significant percentage of my battery and my phone is getting extremely hot. I can't find out what RILD is, stop it, or remove it. Can anyone offer insight? From reading other threads, I will try some of the battery tips to see if my battery life improves, but I would like to know if perhaps it is RILD that's causing the problem.
