ringback/answer tones with VZW and moto droid?

i know with VZW you pretty much can't get anything for free. but with the droid theres like mabilo/zedge and all these ringtone programs. is there a way to get free ringback tones with the droid too? or do i have to pay the $2 a month for the ringback service plus pay for whatever tone i wanna use.

I think paying is the only way to go with ringbacks.

Ringbacks aren't done on the phone, they're done on the carrier's side. So no, you can't get them free.
