Ripped out half of my charging port on my OG Droid...may need to insurance it out...

So, I was charging my Droid on my car, while driving, went to put it into park, the shifter caught on my cord and ripped out half of the charging port.

It will still charge, but is loose. If I have to use my Asurion ins, I will most likeey have to get it back to stock.

1) How can I get it back to stock? I have never sbf'd a file.
2) What phone will I be getting from Asurion?

Either way, it is just to hold me over until July'ish, when I am do for an upgrade...possibly the new Bionic...if it exists

Any advice will be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about it. Something like that is physical damage, and anyway I don't believe Asurion checks or even cares if you root.

Well that makes life a little easier on me. Any idea what kind of phone I would get as a replacement? I remember a while ago, it was either a DX or D2.

earlier this week they were still sending out Droid 1's ... a friend had to get a replacement since his phone is down in the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico now.

when my touch screen became a regular screen they sent me one fedex 2day
(moto warranty)
was hoping to get upgraded but NOOOOOOOOOOooooo they send a refurbished that has a dust behind the screen and does not handle chevy's ulv kernels
