K... I searched and found this:

ristretto is a linux image viewer... they're probably temp image files.


Anyone know how these were generated?
AND can I delete these?
I seem to have close to 50 of these on my rooted DX SD card

Do you use the Vlingo safereader? What are the dates on the files? Older versions of Vlingo deposited these files on the SD card every time I enabled safereader. I had been in contact with them and they were working on a fix. The newer version seems to have corrected this. So if you have used Vlingo, that is most likely the cause and they are safe to delete.

Yes I do use Vlingo and safe reader

I'm guessing I can remove these... I will rename a few first to see if that causes an issue

It took a couple days worth of troubleshooting for me to figure out where they came from a while back, glad I could help solve the puzzle for you.

Deleting them won't cause any issues, I have deleted many hundreds of them. So glad they fixed that, it was a nuisance to have to keep cleaning them out.
