Robot pictures during calls??????

Every time I make a call or hang up from a call, I get a picture of the Doid robot and advertisements. It is very annoying. Has anyone ever seen this? I started deleting apps becasue I thought it might have been automatically downloaded. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Ads? That's weird.

The Droid picture is the default "no picture" picture. What odd apps do you have on your phone?

That is default picture if no picture is added to your contact(s).

Apps on phone

I deleted a boatload of my apps. I have Amber Alert, imusic, jewels, Maps, Pandora, pet cam, radar now, the weather channel, and tip calculator. Is there a setting that would make my phone do this? It started about 3 weeks ago.

Ads when making or recieving calls, I've never heard of such a thing.

no one on this forum has ads that show up during a call...you did something wrong.

The only ads I get are when using certain apps... Where? comes to mind.

I have seen the android pictures but no ads. Sometime the robot is fishing, or in space, or there are a few more.

Its annoying and would like to know how to remove it.

I also wonder if I got it from an app because it just started a bit ago.

I actually had the same exact problem several months ago and the pics were kinda cute, but so annoying. I never knew exactly which app was causing my problem but I started uninstalling my apps from newest to oldest trying to pinpoint the culprit. I found it after some time, thanks goodness. Just try that and good luck!

It's normal to see the green Droid logo, as for advertisements, I haven't seen any of those during a call.

Ohhh, I think I know what your talking about. I don't have this, but Ive seen the apps that do it. You probably downloaded what you thought was a theme or background, but is actually a "Picture after call" application. They show random pictures after you make a call or when you make one. You can find a lot of them in the app store, their description saying "skateboarding pictures after call" thats all they do is show pics after you make a call and Im sure adds are included with those.

I've never even heard of the picture after call apps until now so IU'm sure that I didn't download one on purpose.

Maybe it was included with another app. I hate to just start uninstalling apps but maybe thats what it will take.

I had it too, and it was very annoying. After reading this forum, I tried deleting a couple of recent apps, avoiding the ones that were installed after the problem started, and also the very old ones. I had been getting messages about some kind of "timer" process not responding, so based on that, I tried deleting a stopwatch/timer app, and that seems to have fixed it. Unfortunately I'm not exactly sure which one it was.
