[ROM][3/29/2011]1.12.605.9-Debloat-Deodexed-Lightning Rom - xda-developers


Before posting any steps or anything, I would like to say that you flash this at your own risk. I assume no responsibility at all. I will be on to hear any suggestion or to see if anyone is having trouble with the rom that I hope I can fix it. I’ve been running it for 3 days now without a hiccup but every device is different.

Prerequisites:
A) Must be rooted, with CWR flashed.
B) Must be coming from a 1.12.605.9 rom or you will get stuck at the cloud screen.
C) 1.12.605.9 kernel from Adrynalyne: [Kernel]1.12.605.9 kernel with adb root - xda-developers

What this rom includes:
1. 1.12.605.9 based
2. Busybox installed
3. deodexed
4. Rooted (thanks to rmk)
5. Zipaligned
6. Verizon debloated (still has VVW)
7. Still has all HTC bloatware
8. Modified status bar:
a. Honeycomb Style Clock
b. Everything is green (see screenshot below)
9. Removed some stock skins, added some from here: [SKIN][Tutorial][08.03.2011] Skins for HTC Sense 2.0 roms & Framework mods. - xda-developers
10. Includes HTCsense.com syncing (thanks to adrynalyne)
11. Rosie tweak (thanks to signal23)
12. Transparent notification bar. Kept the recent apps in there though.
13. Rom Manager, titanium backup, and root checker are included.
14. Car Dock (Thanks to NCX Designs)

This is a first rom…nothing special, just getting used to the whole development thing. No major tweaks, I have tried Adrynalyne’s mods posted here: [Mod][3.24.2011] Tweaks for ANY rom - xda-developers and they seem to work good.

Steps to flash:
1. Place on root of SD card
2. Reboot into CWR
3. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM.
4. Wipe Cache only (DO NOT WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET)
5. Flash Rom.
6. Reboot.

You'd have to ask the dev that. I didn't create this.... I just posted it here to make more people aware. Most of the development has been taking place over at xda & not a lot of new people know to go there.

That's kinda how it usually works. Initial development and all of the super experimental stuff is usually done over at xda, once things start to stabilize, things tend to pick up over here. Personally, I know where to go on xda but as you said, many folks only visit df so its good that a lot of stuff gets posted here as well.

EDIT:
Added 1.12.605.6 version of this rom. Do not flash the .9 kernel. Everything else is the same. For this rom, the blue framework has not been tested and was created for the .9 version. I can make one for the .6 version but will do so only if someone requests it.

EDIT:
The issue of flashing over the stock rooted rom has been fixed...You can now flash either version over stock rooted or stock deodexed...if you try it over other roms and it works, lemme know!

EDIT:
I have personally tried adrynalynes new kernels and the 1.5gHz overclocked kernel and all work great on the .9 version of this rom. I have not tested them on the .6 version but they should work on that as well. They give an increase in speed (overclocked) or better battery life (v1.8).

EDIT:
The AOSP lockscreen mod works on this rom, but if you experience any issues, I will post the HtcLockScreen.apk and you will have to use adb in cmd/terminal to restore it.
Once you navigate to correct directory: cd [path to folder which contains adb]
1. adb pust HtcLockScreen.apk /system/app
2. adb chmod 777 /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk
3. adb reboot

EDIT:
A couple people have asked me for the .9 stock deodexed version. Here ya go. This is stock, rooted, deodexed, and zipaligned. It has all bloat EXCEPT the golf game...its just too large for me to put in there. This one has been fixed!

Hey bud, I don't mind at all if you keep my rom over here...in fact, since its nice to see other people taking an interest in it...just as a heads up on it, there was an error that occured during boot up that has been fixed on all versions...I will just post the links to it over here as soon as they are uploaded!

Thanks for the link to your updated ROM over on DF. I rooted last night so I'll be looking at what ROM's are available now. Sort of a flashback to when the D1 came out and ROM's were the new thing for OG D1 users.
