It seems as if their will be no more slider phones with full qwerty keyboards. Motorola had been updating the OG Droid series pretty frequently, but we have not seen a reboot of the Droid slider since February of 2012. The general public has mostly accepted the fate of the onscreen keyboard. There are still a few of you out there that are holding on to your Droid 4 for dear life. You are just unwilling to give up that full slide out keyboard. I don't blame you. Motorola seems to be finished with the device after bringing Jelly Bean to it several months ago.
However you can still count on the development community to bring you updates! Carbon Rom has been one of the more popular AOSP roms out for a while now. It is developed by a team of great guys including Kejar of the Gummy Rom series and Liberty series from way back in the day. Carbon nightlies have made their way to the Droid 4! These builds include all sorts of customization options. Carbon has been flashed by some DF users who are saying that they have mostly had no trouble at all. This Rom seems to be plenty stable. If you aren't familiar with Carbon you can find a full features list and changelog here.
