If you refuse to chunk that trusty old DX or D2 and would love to freshen it up, or maybe pull it out of the drawer, dust it off, and give it some use I have good news for you! Developer "Dubbsy" has given new life to the liquid port of X13thangelX with a kang of his own. This Rom will bring Ice Cream Sandwich to your device. The Rom includes the latest init.d scripts from AOKP for added speed and fluidity. Other features include SuperSU, chrome, MIUI calc, MIUI camera and video camera, updated gapps, google now, Rom Toolbox Lite, CM File Manager, Nova Launcher, Overclocked out of the box, liquid smooth jelly bean boot animation, and more.

You will need to flash this in recovery. It is always nice to see developers support older devices for those who do not see the need to fix something that aint broke!

Yup...it may go on my phone. My daughter plays with it since I upgraded last year. Still have a lot of love for my old DX.

I feel ya. I only sold mine last month, and that was only to get some spending cash for Disney World. I wanted to be able to buy the kids the Mickey ears. If not I would have kept the DX.
