Rom Manager Backup Problem

I recently purchased a Samsung i897 Captivate, firmware version 2.1-update 1, kernal version 2.6.29 and build ECLAIR.UCJH7. It is cofirmed rooted. I've loaded Rom Manager Premium v3.0.0.7. I have succesfully flashed ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.2. When I run Backup current ROM, the phone immediately boots to Samsung Recovery Utility with the option to Boot, reinstall packages, delete all user data or delete cache data. Of course I select boot and successfully recover but no backup is completed. Any Ideas on how one might fix this? Thanks
