Rom manager Help please

So, I rooted my phone and all went well, but I dropped it and need to bring it to verizon because now every time i close it, it turns of and only turns back on when it feels like it.
So I downloaded the update.zip to unroot my phone and all that, and when it didnt work i was told to download rom manager and flash alternate recovery, but its telling me there is no alternate recovery, help please?

You can download the SBF and flash it to the phone using RSD Lite. I doesn't matter which recovery you have on your phone. Here are the steps

I just used this last week and it worked perfectly

Will that work with clockwork recovery?

It will put the stock recovery back on the phone.
