Yes, you can install this over 2.1 without losing data. I just did it. Your theme will go away once you update, so you'll need to find a theme that is compatible with 2.5. Don't re-install your theme from 2.1.

Fixed this issue for me.

Tried to uninstall LPP through settings, but option greyed out. Went into Titanium Backup to uninstall and noticed it was version 0.8.1 and listed in RED meaning it was a system file. ??

Uninstalled and needed to reboot in order to reinstall 0.8.2

Market wouldn't even let me update I guess because it was a system version?

Anyhow, swype gesture for recent apps is back for me if anyone else has this problem :)

You can download the Blur camera from somewhere in this thread...just install it as an update.zip from recovery.

Otherwise, I don't know what other Blur you really want... if you like Blur aspects, why switch to an Blurless ROM? The only Blur I have is the camera/videocamera.

I think Apex has the Blur messaging app if you wanna check that ROM out.

i found the camera.apk here? does the camera.apk include the video camera?
im also looking for the blur gallery, blur MMS and some other blur apps/widgets that i would like to add to this rom. can i just take the blur apks from my stock rom backup and flash them over this rom?
 
Anyone having success using Titanium to restore their apps? I can't do a batch restore and can only do one here and there and then it reboots.
 
Can someone post the .apk for the 2D Gallery that came with 2.5? I really like it, but I lost mine when I installed the multimedia pack that has the old 2D Gallery.

You really should check out the Rom APEX 1.3.1. It's fast, has great battery life, and has all the Blur functions you are looking for built in, instead of trying to put back in Blur on a Rom designed to function w/o it. JMHO.

Using Titanium to restore apps can be very buggy. It's much more stable when you have the Market re-download/install the apps for you when you flash a new ROM. I use it only to restore a couple of games that I didn't get in the market.
