root droid + froyo

I was wondering if someone would mind help me root my droid, and then install froyo 2.2. I tried this once before and was unsuccessful. I got a new droid though, so I want to give it another shot. If you can help me, send me a PM or im me on AIM: Harrveyy.

I did mine yesterday and when I added the tethering to it I can not dowload any apps from the Marketplace...
