Root help

So i just rooted my droid with easy root, all I did so far was root the phone. Is there anything else I have to do?

Also how will I get 2.2 if im rooted and how will I install it.

Well it depends on what you want to achieve. Rooting the phone only opens it up for you to modify it. For example, if all you want to do is overclock, then you will have to install an app and kernel that will let you adjust the settings (setCPU for most). If you want to install a custom ROM, head over to that section here in the forums, choose a developer, then follow their directions for installation (not all are identical). But really, it's up to you.

If you are rooted, but have done nothing, it is my understanding that you will be able to update the phone normally. However, you will lose root once that happens. So if you want to be rooted with Froyo, my recommendation would be to head over to the Hacks section and install a custom 2.2 ROM of your choosing, then have fun with it.

what exactly is there kernal and where can I get one. I already have set cpu I. Just need the kernal and one that works with wifi tethering

And really, it is just picking one and seeing if it works or not. If you are unsure, Just float around the "Hacks" section and you will get a pretty good idea which ones are most stable and which ones will seriously mess with your phone. Just make sure in SetCPU you select 'autodetect' once the kernel is installed.

As far as WiFi tethering, I'm not sure which kernel's work best for that because I don't tether, but there are MANY who do and will be able to answer that question.
