Root tether apps

Has anyone else had any problems with their tether apps not working right? Open garden and barnacle work for around 15 to 20 minutes them they will remain on but won't transfer any data to my connected devices. After toggling airplane mode it works again for about 15 to 20 again and I have to repeat the process. Is this an attempt from verizon to stop me from using them?

Using a droid 2 running launcher pro and rooted. I've deleted all apps I've dled since the problem started and it still persists. Help please.

Btw new to these forums if this thread should be posted elsewhere let me know and I will remove/repost.

Well the same thing occurred with that app. However i did find out that if my screen doesn't timeout the connections is fine for now i just have it so my screen will stay on while charging. But i would much rather know the real reason why it is occurring.

Do you have any app that kills wifi to conserve battery? I had the same problem with auto wifi.When I'm tethering now I stop that service and everything works beautifully.

i have juice defender elite but have it disabled when i tether its beyond frustrating

Try something.Backup and uninstall juice defender and then try again tethering. If it works then restore juice defender and try again configuring it properly.
