Rooted 2.3.15 to 2.3.340 info

Ok short n simple. How do I update to 2.3.340. My dx is rooted, 2.3.15, running most recent rubix blurry rom. I was wondering if the update can be done without losing root, & will my rom still work? What is sbf? Point me to some good info and Ill go from there. Thankx
