Rooted D2 having all sorts of music issues

I recently bought a D2 and this is my first android phone. I rooted and am now back on the stock 2.2. I purchased a 32gb micro sd and was excited to use this as my mp3 player. Well, out of the 20 albums I tried to put on, only 6 worked. All the other folders say they have 0 files in them and it tells me it cannot play the files. I reset a couple times, wiped data, pulled battery, all to no avail. I have read other people have had problems, any fixes?

Next attempt for me is pull the card and load the songs from the adapter outside of the phone. And I am loving this forum for all the help so far, sorry if I am sounding like a n00b

My understanding is that while 32GB is the stated max capacity for a MicroSDHC card in the D2, they get really wonky when you try to use them. Some people have made it work by formatting their card 3 or 4 times in a row, then copying the music back. One thing I've noticed is that people who copy their music over via USB Mass storage, or by putting the card into an adapter and then their computer have more success than people who use apps like doubletwist, or the mediasync app that comes on the phone.
